SASC Spring 2012 Recreational Soccer Registration
Important Registration Information:
  • Registration for the Spring 2012 season is now OPEN.
  • Registration will close on January 31st.
  • The Spring season runs from March 24th thru May 18th.
  • If you have not heard from a coach by March 10th, please email the SASC Rec Program Director.
  • To determine the appropriate age group for your child, please use the Age Group Calculator
  • This information is for the Recreational Soccer program only. For details on Competitive Team registration, please email the Comp Registrar.




Player Registration

*** Parents MUST read this prior to registering a child for the season. ***

Payment Options
  • Online registration is available by credit card only; please have your credit card ready during the registration process. Registration fees are $110 per child and include a uniform.
  • Scholarship players should email recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org for registration instructions. For more information about the SASC scholarship program, please navigate to the Financial Aid webpage.
Player Age Group
  • Online registration is for players who are born between 8/1/1995 and 7/31/2007.
  • A player's "Soccer Age" is based on their age on 7/31/2011
  • If you need to check your player's age group, please view the Age Group Calculator
Playing Up
  • Parents can register their child for the next older age group.
  • New this season: Please choose the actual age group you want your child to play in, this is now supported by our online system.
  • Players who wish to play up more than one age group MUST email recreation@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org to receive approval to play up.
Playing Down
  • Only players with approved medical reasons may request to play down. If you would like your child to play down and have medical documentation, please email recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org.
  • Parents must renew this request each season to ensure their child is placed properly.
Paperwork
  • Player registration forms (1601 - two copies) will be available at your child's first practice. Please note that a parent or guardian needs to be present to sign the forms.
  • Proof of age documentation is required for all new players. This can be either a copy of the birth certificate or a copy of the photo page of their passport. These should be turned into your child's coach at the first practice session.
  • No documents should be mailed to SASC.
Team Formation
  • Team placement is done according to coach preference, friend request, and neighborhood. Because many coaches have more requests than spots available, it is possible your player will not be placed with the coach you requested. SASC will attempt to keep friends and school mates together when a team needs to be split due to over-subscription to a particular coach.
  • Practice location is subject to field availability and coach preference. SASC does not have practice fields available at all locations for all age groups. Please plan to be flexible, you will be assigned a practice field somewhere in the city of Sunnyvale.
  • The only way to guarantee a specific practice location or day is to be a volunteer coach for your child's team.
Refund Policy
  • All refund requests must be made in writing. Please state your child's full name, birth date, and reason for the refund request.
  • Refunds take a minimum of 4 weeks to process.
  • Email refund request to: recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org
  • Players who register for Rec and move to a SASC comp team will have their entire payment applied to their comp registration. You must email recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org if your player moves to comp.
  • Refund amounts are graduated, based on request date:
    • On or before January 31, 2012: $85
    • Between February 1 and March 23, 2012: $60
    • No refund available after March 23, 2012.





Coach Registration

  • If you plan to coach or Assistant Coach in the Spring 2012 season, you MUST register to coach. If you coached in Fall 2011, please email recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org to receive confirmation that you are cleared to coach this spring. If you did not coach in Fall 2011, you need to register online. Please follow the steps below:
    1. Navigate to the following web page: Coaching online registration.
    2. Fill out all required information.
    3. In the "Organization" drop down box please choose "Sunnyvale Alliance SC".
    4. When you are finished, click on the submit button.
    5. You will then receive a confirmation number. You must email this number to recregistrar@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org
    6. You will then receive a confirmation back from the registrar letting you know that you have been cleared to coach.
